My Motherland,
The Golden Bird of Ancient World,
Present Day Asia
Subject - My vision for Viksit Bharat 2047
My lovely motherland - India,
Namaskar, with a smile that is more hopeful than it has ever been !
As I present my ideas about how I envision you to be in 2047, I sincerely hope I find this letter back as
a 46-years old responsible citizen, proudly smiling over achieving all the aspects that I am going to
discuss in this letter.
We call you by different names - India, Bharat, Hindustan, Homeland, etc. but the feeling remains the
same - of extreme joy and pride that I am fortunate enough to be born in a country with centuries of
legacy and heritage.
But, a nation that is home to over 1.5 billion people surely deserves a better status in terms of
development. I envision Bharat of 2047 to have a robust and uniform education system where primary
and secondary education will have same syllabus unlike being divided into multiple state boards as of
today. I dream of practical and employment worthy knowledge being imparted in colleges and
universities that would have international acclaim and would draw attention from sincere candidates
across the globe.
I wish that the taxpayers’ money would be utilized properly with a single uniform tax system that
would benefit the nation but at the same time provide an upliftment in the living standards of
taxpayers, unlike leaving them frustrated begging for, basic amenities like roads, infrastructure, clean
air, safety, etc. as prevalent today.
I dream of having elected representatives or leaders who will have a basic criteria of education before
they enter into our parliament for making decisions related to us. Their children would study in
government schools and they would be bound to be treated in government hospitals unlike flying
away to European nations for such privileges.
I envision that the reservation system in my motherland would be fair to all, in a way that if one
member of the family has benefitted from the reservation system, it should not be available to the
coming three generations of that individual.
I aspire a legal system that has the same rules for each and every citizen of India, not only on paper
but in reality, a law that does not differentiate on the basis of religion, caste, creed, financial status,
powerful positions and truly defines the constitutional articulation of equality and secularism.
