Sub: India @ 2047 - My Vision for a Developed Bharat

My beloved Maa Bharti,

It's such a humble & rare opportunity for a child to write not about his dreams but about the dreams
he holds for his mother. While I pen down this letter to you, my heart is filled with pride and also sense
of responsibility; for you have given me my identity, values and purpose and today I write to you about
a Vision I nurture in my heart for you to become an India which is a developed nation by the centenary
year of its independence but at the same time envisioning a Viksit Bharat whose heart beats not only
in terms of progress but also filled with empathy. I envision a developed India with a HUMAN FACE
where GDP rises but along with a rise in GNH-Gross National Happiness. An empathetic India rooted in
ancient culture, retaining to pure soul where people-progress comes first, where quality of life is more
important than quantity of wealth, compassion given priority over competition & opportunity chosen
over privilege.

A development model with human face - India's unique model. The ancient philosophy of "वसधव
कटम्बकम” (whole earth is one family) is rooted in India’s heart and it guides our policies, partnerships,

growth, etc. As our PM Mr. Modi stated, India becoming a developed nation in not just a milestone but
a civilizational mission, a Kartavya Kaal (period of duty) for every Indian to restore India to its deserving
place of becoming ‘Vishwaguru' by 2047. So many countries have traversed this transition from a
Developing to a Developed nation but for India, it's not the the goal but the way we reach the goal of
Developed by 2047 that makes it unique i.e. Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas - a development which comes
with compassion, inclusivity & sustainability of one & all.

My mother, let me now elaborate my vision for your development into. VishwaGuru @ 2047 by
detailing out the PILLARS OF DEVELOPMENT.

An Inclusive Bharat: An India where no matter which caste, creed, gender, old or young, metro or
villages you belong to, every citizen has an equitable access to job opportunities, basic amenities
like potable water, affordable house over head, voice is heard. A Viksit Bharat where the last person
in the line is heard first. Economic development happens where there is equitable distribution of
wealth to all.
