HUDCO, as a premier techno-financial institution has played a pivotal role in
implementing several flagship programs of the Government of India aimed at
enhancing urban development and improving living conditions across the country. As
one of the technical arms of the Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs (MoHUA),
HUDCO has played a key role in various programmes related to Housing and Urban
Infrastructure Sectors and is currently involved in its mission programme of Housing
for All, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Urban (PMAY-U) – 2.0, Atal Mission for
Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT), Smart Cities Mission etc.
- Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – (Urban) 2.0
Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana - Urban (PMAY-U) 2.0 has been launched by Hon'ble
Prime Minister by releasing Scheme Guidelines from Bhubaneswar, Odisha on
17.09.2024. PMAY-U 2.0 will provide financial assistance to one crore urban poor
and middle-class families of EWS/LIG/MIG categories to construct, purchase or rent
a house at an affordable cost in urban areas over five years with effect from 1st
September 2024.
The Scheme will be implemented through following four verticals:
- Beneficiary Led Construction (BLC)
- Affordable Housing in Partnership (AHP)
- Affordable Rental Housing (ARH)
- Interest Subsidy Scheme (ISS)
