Design Approach

The team in HUDCO has close to five decades of experience in designing Group housing projects, Low-income group housing, Slum rehabilitation and redevelopment, Rehabilitation of natural and man-made disasters victims, Institutional, Commercial, Tourism, Conservation Projects and Site Management plans. It has a pan-India footprint and national and international recognition of its work.

The overarching objective and approach of the architectural consultancy is to use efficient design and building materials to ensure technical excellence, cost effectiveness, energy efficiency, resilience, climate responsiveness, social well-being, and an improved quality of life.

Major Achievements and Awards

Many HUDCO designed projects have received National and International recognition, which includes “Excellence in Architecture” award from Indian Institute of Architects, “Aga Khan International” award as well as “World Habitat” Award sponsored by Building & Social Housing Foundation, U.K. HUDCO also received Prime Minister's National Award for “Excellence in Urban Planning and Design” for Satellite Township Project at Jammu from Ministry of Urban Development. HUDCO Consultancy has also received significant appreciation from Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha for Disaster rehabilitation efforts in Orissa and Gujarat. The earthquake rehabilitation efforts at Latur and Osmanabad have received international commendation.
